Billie Dale Proffer, Jr., 61, Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, March 07, 2012 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Bro. David Rushlow. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Proffer; children, Cassie Proffer Young (husband, Dewayne), Kitty Castelli (husband, Chris); step-son, Kevin Mansell (wife, Jill); 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Spaulding (husband, Tim), Linda Ragusa; brothers, Leroy Proffer, Neal Proffer; and a host of nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Billy Dale Proffer, Sr., & Rosalie Smith Proffer; brother, Mike Proffer, and sister, Becky Wiley
