Bessie Jane Harrell, 75, passed away on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at her daughter’s residence in Mississippi after a long battle with brain cancer.

Jane was born on August 09, 1936 to Troy & Fannie Jones of Russellville, AL. She married John Douglas Harrell, of Rotan, TX on April 16, 1961.

The visitation will be 6:00 -8:00 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2012 at Spry Memorial Chapel, Russellville. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Tharptown Cemetery.

She is survived by one daughter, Janet Harrell Parker (husband, Wayne), Holly Springs, MS; two grandchildren, Aaron & Justin Parker; three sisters, Ardis Woodruff, Russellville, Sue (Billy) Sherbart, Russellville, Linda (Kenneth) Edgar, Hattieburg, MS; five brothers, Sam (Vera) Jones, Russellville, Ralph (Lena) Jones, Muscle Shoals, Jay Jones, Byhalia, MS, Donald (Mary) Jones, Russellville, John Paul (Liz) Jones, Romeoville, IL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Harrell; sons, Bruce Harrell, Glen Harrell; parents, Troy & Fannie Jones; brothers, Royce Jones, Raymond Jones.
